About

A 9,000-acre estate owned by the Marquis of Normanby near Whitby. Offers a unique partridge drive from 300-foot cliffs onto the beach. The Maharajah Duleep Singh developed the shooting in 1858, allegedly using elephants for transport. Charles Dickens and William Wordsworth were visitors. Tea and cakes served in the castle.
