Managed for shooting since the family purchased the property in 1690. Sir Anthony Milbank, former RSPB Council member and first Chairman of the Moorland Association, won several awards for conservation and good management. Over 80 bird species recorded including red grouse, black grouse, grey partridge, curlew and merlin. Good for those who like a bit of everything.
