About

The world-famous setting of Downton Abbey and home to the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon. The partridge and pheasant shoot goes back to the time of the 5th Earl of Carnarvon, famous for discovering Tutankhamun's tomb. The Prince of Wales (later Edward VII) shot here in 1895. Traditional shoot lunches served in the castle with menus using seasonal game. Four-wheel drive vehicles reach several beats across the stunning parkland estate.
